Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q – Do you only work with professionals?
  • A – No, I am happy working with both professionals and amateurs.

  • Q – Do I have to be over 18 to book a photo shoot?
  • A – I am happy to shoot anyone under the age of 18. However, an age permission form must be completed prior to any shoot by a parent or guardian and ideally they should accompany you to the shoot.

  • Q – Can you drive?
  • A – Currently no, although I am happy travelling with public transport.

  • Q – Are you happy to travel?
  • A – I am happy to travel both locally, nationally and internationally provided that travel expenses are covered. I do seek the cheapest deal on all transport and don’t mind spending 4 hours on a bus if it is cheaper than 1 hour on a train. For long distances and international travel I ask that half of the travel costs are provided up front as a deposit and confirmation of the shoot. I have a valid UK Passport and can travel on short notice.

  • Q – Do you work with male models?
  • A – Yes, I am happy shooting either sex.

  • Q – What levels do you work up to?
  • A – I am comfortable working at any level although I do not have examples of my adult work on the website.

  • Q – Are your rates negotiable?
  • A – Yes, my rates are a guide and I am happy to discuss all budgets and concessions.

  • Q – Do you shoot TFP or TFCD (Time for Prints/CD)
  • A – I do on occasion work for ‘Time’. I do however, have a few terms: –
  • TFP/TFCD shoots are for everyone involved to gain something. If I feel that I will not gain anything from the project, I will politely decline. I am also more likely to say yes to experienced/professionals.
  • For TFP/TFCD location shoots I ask that the location is found before contacting me, unless it is one of my locations.
  • For TFP/TFCD studio shoots, the hire fees MUST be shared by all parties. Everyone is going to benefit and work on the shoot, so everyone should pay equally.
  • For TFP I do not supply actual prints, just the full resolution files so you may obtain prints.

  • Q – Where can we shoot?
  • A – I am happy working in both location and studio environments.

  • Contrast Studio is my first choice when it comes to Studios in Glasgow (Or Adrian Pini’s studio when I visit London). Situated on Queen Street it is perfect for all public transport travel routes. It also has a large, shopping centre car park across the road for drivers.
  • For location photography, it very much depends on what the shoot involves. If you want to shoot in a specific location please ask and Ill give you a yes, no or some options. If you have access to a location somewhere, even better. All I ask is it has enough natural light to shoot in or has power available so I can use my lighting kit.

  • Q – Can we shoot at my home?
  • A – Yes, although as I do not drive it very much depends on if I can get there.

  • Q – Do you have your own lighting?
  • A – Yes I do and it is portable. However, I currently do not have a portable power unit so there must be power at the location.

  • Q – Do you supply a hair and make up artist?
  • A – I am very well networked with Make-Up Artists and will happily supply a professional Make-Up Artist at cost. Most of these can also assist with hair styling. I do however, know 1 or 2 hair and clothing stylists as well should they be needed, charged at cost.

  • Q – How long after the shoot will it take for me to get the photographs?
  • A – I aim to get the photos done as soon as possible but please understand that editing takes time. I try and have the proof images online within a few days but the final edits can take up to 3 weeks, unless agreed otherwise prior to the shoot.

  • Q – Do I get to choose the images I want or do you pick the best ones?
  • A – The answer here is both. I choose 1 or 2 that I would like to use in my portfolio and will forward these to you fully edited. You will also be able to choose a few for yourself, depending on the package you buy.

  • Q – Can I bring a friend/chaperone along to the shoot with me?
  • A – Yes, although I ask that you limit the number you bring along as too many can be distracting. I also suggest they bring a book or music if the shoot is a long one! I try my best to get friends/chaperones involved but sadly there is only so much they can do.

  • Q – Do you shoot content for other websites and private clients?
  • A – I am happy to shoot provided the terms and conditions offered by the website/client are fair. I will review these carefully in each case before giving an answer. I can confirm that at this time I will not shoot content for the Suicide Girls website.
